Organization using Peoplesoft on Oracle wanted to have an online application which tracked employee assets in a complex way that Peoplesoft did not offer. Existing corporate web server did not offer native OCI calls, just slower generic ODBC modules.

Built a new web server from scratch with oci modules for PHP under Linux (SLES 10), migrated existing Novel/Windows server system to Linux, and re-engineered views and PHP code for real-time data. Got buy-in from HR and the Peoplesoft Database Administrator and completed project with all departments extremely satisfied.
