Since COVID-19 has a transition rate that shows up in under 7 days (many are saying it's a 3 day doubling rate), you can see the spikes within a week of a community transmission event. We see that here in Wisconsin after the primary and after the "spread the infection" protest. Had the WI primary been not forced to be a large-scale-in-person event, and if the rural parts of WI hadn't decided to gather in one spot for spreading the infection, WI would have been at erradication levels for the virus about 20 days ago.
